Dan,
Inever knew there was another cool Tiffany fan in the world! I am a
first year teacher in Charleston, South Carolina and I have adored her
for a decade. My fave' album is a tie between NEW INSIDE and HOLD AN OLD
FRIEND'S HAND. My most cherished song is "You and Me." (I haven't heard
DREAMS NEVER DIE)
I thought Tiffany looked so cool in the pictures on the NEW INSIDE
sleeve. I loved the dark hair, defined makeup, the cool vest on the back
cover, and Tiff's artistic demeanor. Although, if you look at the cover
for the single "Here In My Heart," the makeup artist overdid it; however,
all was not lost with the beautiful D. Warren penned track. When I
graduated from high school in 1991 I nominated that song to play during
graduation ceremonies, yet the majority of the senior call voted for the
lyrical version of "St. Elmo's Fire."
I was devastated when I heard MCA decided to shelve DREAMS. I believe
their decision was somewhat based on the fact that D.Gibson's fourth
effort BODY MIND SOUL bombed 2 months before DREAMS was scheduled to
street. I wrote Al Teller when I heard Tiffany was dropped from the MCA
roster. I told him he was losing a great asset that was a large part of
my life and others.
I tried to find a store in South and North Carolina that would order
the DREAMS import for me, yet each attempt failed. I constantly wonder
what it sounds like. Maybe some day.
I heard Tiffany is moving into country which is cool with
me;however, I am confused about her motivation. In 1991 I saw her in an
interview post-NEW INSIDE's feeble performance. She said eventhough it
wasn't a huge success it was still her fave' record she recorded because
it represented the genre of music she liked to listen to. I guess her
tastes have changed since then. I do feel Tiff can have crossover success
with the right mixture of contry meets pop songs. There is an artist who
looks like an older version of Tiffany named Joy Lynn White (check out
her WILD LOVE album cover).
When I read the notes you made about Tiff's songs I was amazed. I
never realized that Dennis Cheese rapping on "New Inside" was Donnie from
NKOTB. I also never realized the sequencing on the song "Never Run My
Motor Down," in which Tiff sings "Sometimes it's hard to hit on a moving
target," actually sounds like it's moving! "Drop That Bomb" is one of my
fondest guilty pleasures but it took many years to grow on me.
IF I compiled Tiffany's Greatest Hits it would be more diverse than
the Hippo Records release (I wonder why they didn't put a bio or some
notes and pictures of Tiff on the sleeve). My compilation would be the
following, but remember I am basing it on her United State's releases.

                      ESSENTIAL TIFFANY 1987-1991

Danny,Spanish Eyes,I Saw Him Standing There,I Think Were Alone Now, Oh
Jackie, All This Time, Radio Romance, Hold An Old Friend's Hand, Were
Both Thinking of Her Tonight, Hearts Never Lie, New Inside, There Could
Never, Tenderly, Our Love, Back in the Groove, Here In My Heart, It's
You, I Always Thought I'd See You Again, Home, Mr. Mambo,(and my
fave):You and Me.

Myself and a friend were up late last night studing for a
big Biology test and were talking about the good old days
back in school and what not. For some odd reason we were
discussing Tiffany. And we couldn't figure out the last
song on her debut album. So that is the real reason for us
lookink up this web site.
Please send me whatever you can about Tiff and possibly the
lyrics of SHOULD'VE BEEN, because that is my favorite song
Also let me know if she is going to make a come back anytime
soon, because I heard her and VANILLA ICE were going on a
come back tour together,That the rumor that's going around
anyway. Thanks alot and I look forward to hearing
from you. PEACE OUT!

Greetings,

I have to admit, I haven't always been there as a Tiffany fan. I
was more into (and really still am) into hard rock and some Top
40. I first got into Tiff when "I Saw Him ..." came out, and
sorta forgot about it, writing the whole experience off as a fad.
But not too long ago, I read about the Greatest Hits album, it
piqued my interest, I went out and got it and a used cassette of
"Hold ..." Needless to say, I fell in love all over again. I'm
ready for the country CD, now. does anyone have a downloadable
copy of that article???

Thanx for your site, more pix would be nice (new or old), but
that's hardly a complaint.

sincerely,

I am a long time fan of Tiffany. I first saw her perform
at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois in 1987. I
immediately fell in love with her music and afterwards
received an autographed poster from her, which I still have.
An ex-girlfriend once got jealous of it and wanted me to
take it down. I said no way.

One time my friend and I walked about 4 miles to a record
store where Tiffany was giving autographs. Then we waited
in line for 2 hours to see her. What can I say, it was
worth it.

I still listen to my Tiffany CD's often. Some of my
favorite songs are Should Have Been Me, Feelings Of Forever,
and I like the video for All This Time.

Anyway, I hope I see her again sometime.

Hi Dan,

I wanted to thank you again for your web page devoted to Tiffany. Not only
did I use to think I was Tiffany’s oldest fan when she was popular, it felt
like I was the only one (adult fan anyway). It’s good to see there are
*still* other Tiffany fans out there.

Ironically, the way I became hooked was that I had a lone selection left over
for a music club I was joining. I had seen Tiffany’s name pop up several
places, Parade Magazine I believe being one of them. I used my extra
selection to satisfy my curiosity as to what all the fuss was about. (The
country stations I listened to obviously weren't playing any Tiffany songs.)
I can’t tell you what any of my other picks were when I joined that music
club, but I became hooked on Tiffany.

In early 1989, I bought a new car, an ‘88 Ford Escort EXP. I named my car
"Tiffany" in honor of my favorite singer. I still have "Tiffany" to this
day.

Perhaps, I will share with you my Top 10 or 20 Tiffany songs (with comments)
in the near future. As I told you previously, I enjoyed reading through your
list very much. I just ordered "Dreams Never Die" through an importer, so
perhaps I will wait until after I get it.

Yours truly, a fellow fan,

Subject: Tiffany Stuff....

Sir,

First off, let me say thank you for finally getting a Tiff page on the
Net. Second, thanks for having so much information. Now onto other
stuff. I lived in Vegas when Tiff was down there performing and
unfortunately I, like I suspect a lot of her fans, was then underage. I
also heard about Dreams Never Die about the same time and was ecstatic.
And then saddened to see that it never came out. So now some advice to
all the others who may want to get it. Forget the Warehouse, forget Sam
Goody or the Musicland. Go to the smaller, independant, music stores
and ask if they can order through Phantom. If so, then you can get a
copy of Dreams Never Die from Japan. It'll cost about twice as much as
a regular CD, but I think it's worth it.
The jacket liner notes say that it is a new 'mature, laid back' project
for Tiff, showing a new more laid back approach to life, and yes, the
songs are semi-rock, but just as true and good as her earlier hits. I
feel that should they release some of the songs such as "Ruthless" or
"Can't You See" Tiff would be a major force in music again.
For those of who may not know the playlist of the album it includes two
remakes, "Kiss the Ground" by a seventies band, and "These Arms of Mine"
by Otis Redding. It also has new works, some written by George Tobin.
The list is:
If Love is Blind
Kiss the Ground
Can't You See (a powerful ballad that is easily my favorite on the whole
disc)
Dreams Never Die
That One Blue Candle
Almost in Love
Ruthless
These Arms of Mine (a provacotive retelling of the Otis Redding hit
going back to her R&B days, and dropping the funk)
Sam Loves Joanne (must be heard)
We're the Truth
Loneliness

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hi!
I almost typed in 'Tiffany' in infoseek as a curiosity measure, not
expecting to find anything. I can't tell you how surprised and happy I am
that I did. As far as I knew, she only done one album (books I found never
mentioned any others). Now it turns out shes done about 4!!
I liked her since 'I think we`re alone now' was in the charts, and I
suppose she was kinda my first crush (I was only 11 or 12). And 'I think
we`re alone now' was the first song I ever sung on karaoke (I saw her
standing there was the second: notice a connection?).
I just want to say that I like the page and was glad to get some up to
date information on her( as far as the UK is concerned, she seemed to
disappear after 1989). Has any of her other albums been release in the UK?
(I haven't seen any). I suppose I could try to order it in as an import
anyway.
Thanks for letting me know whats actually happening.
         Brian.
